We are extremely excited to announce that decentralized streaming service AIOZ has elected to launch on Ignition. Receiving the support of Master Ventures and Innovion, AIOZ is the latest Ignition project stamping their mark on the crypto scene. Native Client Launcher The Ignition Gateway contains downloadable native executables that can launch clients directly without invoking JWS. Using the native executables, you can set up clients in ways that are impossible to achieve with JWS, such as launching clients automatically as part of a machine startup script.
The running application (an Ignition Client or the Designer) communicates with the Gateway via HTTP. It is cached for increased subsequent launch speed, and can optionally install a link in the Start menu and on the desktop for easy access. By default a shortcut is created for you but this setting can be changed in the Java Control Panel. As of Ignition 8, 32-bit Vision Client support was dropped; the availability of 32-bit Java Runtime Environments (JRE) will diminish overtime as the technology is slowly deprecated. However, in an effort to aid architectures making heavy use of 32-bit hardware, Ignition 8.0.3+ includes some batch and bash scripts that can be used to launch 32.
New Ignition Client Launcher
On May 6th, 2020 we will be updating our Ignition version. Due to changes made by Inductive Automation, you will need to download a new Client launcher. After the upgrade, your current Client launcher will not be supported. Mobile.tanklogix.com access will be unaffected.
Maintenance is currently planned for6 hours on 5/6/20at 7:00pm CDT to 5/7/20 at 1:00am CDT. During this period, you may experience degraded Ignition performance.
